Prestons is a diverse suburb nestle to the Northwest of the Crossroads Interchange for the M5 & M7. The traditional custodians of the land are the Cabrogal Clan of the Darug Nation, with the land also accessed by peoples of the Tharawal and Gandangara Nations. Today, Prestons is both a place to live and to work, with the industrial heartlands hugging the M7, including one new kid on the street – Toby’s Milkbar.
You can easily access the Prestons area from the Jedda and Bernera Rd exit off the M7 which brings you straight into the suburb. The Industrial lands hold many unexpected surprises, from the competition grade Liverpool Catholic Club Ice Rink to the myriads of gyms, martial arts trainers and coffee roasters. Make your way to Ash Road where you will find today’s destination. Surrounded by rugged industrial concrete walls, Toby’s Milk Bar has quickly become a destination in of itself.

Bold, bright and beautiful murals created by street artist Le Grizz frame and create an intentional vibe. The contrast of bright blue and yellow, cool tunes playing and spaces to sit, chill and hang out have created an immersive space to come for breakfast, lunch or dinner. For the uninitiated, Le Grizz is an abstract Surrealist based within the Mountains of the Lithgow Valley, known for his unique, captivating take on daily life.
As foodies, they don’t just seek out great places to share, of showcase great food but they understand how important atmosphere is. The Sydney Food Brothers have literally put their money where their mouth is and created their own version of cool.
Grab a fresh Brewed beverage from the Coffee Supreme brand and take in the atmosphere. The boys from Sydney Food Brothers have created this ode in their hometown. They are some of the original food influencers and content creators that WEST has the pleasure of collaborating with. Passionate, fun and authentic, they wanted to create a venue that really lifts you. They created a space to come to, amongst the hustle and bustle of Preston’s working day where you can recharge, reset and reinvigorate.
The atmosphere is energising and fun and it doesn’t stop there. The brothers have created their own merchandise, something followers and visitors alike love, including their #nofilter product that went viral. They have invited the community in, celebrating and embracing good times and good vibes. As a nod to their community connection, Toby’s Milkbar is named after a much loved, favourite family member, the son and nephew of the brothers. He’s an ever-smiling toddler with game changing venue named after him. Not a bad effort!
Now we haven’t even mentioned the food offering yet. Generous and fresh. From great vegetarian Labneh Bruschetta to the signature Cheeseburger, stacked Sandwiches, Meatballs or a Salmon Bagel. You can follow it all with a cool refreshing Acia, an iced coffee or a protein shake. Locals keep coming back for more and the boys are running evening events where they bring their great food and live tunes from their resident DJ.
If you’re looking for something fun, fresh and unexpected. WEST would love to see you there. Toby’s Milkbar just shows what you can do with a little creativity and imagination to create a memorable experience and one that leaves you wanting more. Check them out, follow them on socials and keep an eye out for their Friday and Saturday night specials. It’s a vibe that you cannot miss.
